Bloomberg Government NEXT Infrastructure

On June 21, 2017, Bloomberg Government hosted a conversation on the latest innovations for America’s infrastructure. Federal, city and industry leaders came together to discuss the nation’s infrastructure priorities, including funding, connectivity and sustainability, as well as how we can focus our infrastructure efforts to improve America’s competitiveness in the world.

BAF Co-Chair Ray LaHood spoke on a panel about assessing “America’s Metro” with Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and WMATA CEO Paul Wiedefeld. BAF President Marcia Hale discussed smart infrastructure with Topcon Positioning Systems CEO Ray O’Connor.

Other speakers included Reps. Rodney Davis (R-IL), John Delaney (D-MD) and Ted Yoho (R-FL), who provided their insights into potential financing options for infrastructure and their outlook on Congressional action.
