David Tinker
Mayor, Township of Hazlet New Jersey
Mayor David Tinker is a lifelong resident of Hazlet graduating from Raritan School in 1977. Dave with his wife Mary and their son Matthew reside in the house he grew up in. Prior to his election to Mayor, Tinker served on the Township Committee where he was elected Deputy Mayor in 2010. He also served on the Planning Board from 2005 through 2010. He has a B.S in Management Science from Lock Haven State College, Lock Haven, PA.
Dave is committed to serving the youth --the future leaders of our community--by serving as a Vice President for Membership of the Monmouth Council, Boy Scouts of America. Tinker is an Eagle Scout and also serves as a member of the Vestry of St. Mary the Virgin Church in Keyport. He is employed as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist by the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, Edison, NJ.
Dave currently serves as a liaison to the Hazlet Library Commission, Open Space Committee and the various PTOs/PTAs in our Township Schools.
