Arizona Republic: Stimulus to boost Arizona water infrastructure (AZ)

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will spend $1 billion in federal stimulus money on water-infrastructure projects, including about $88 million in Arizona.  Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said the money allocated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will help repair aging dams, upgrade outdated water-delivery systems and improve wildlife habitat on rivers.  Almost $108 million will be spent on the lower Colorado River, a region where the bureau oversees water management and delivery.
