Business Journals: Poll: Most back infrastructure spending for stimulus
From Business Journals:
The best way to stimulate the economy is to rebuild the country’s infrastructure, readers said in the most recent Business Pulse Survey done by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. Nearly one-third of those responding to the online survey conducted between Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 said they thought roads, bridges and other public projects is where the government should focus its stimulus spending. “Think of all the public works projects of the depression era that are still benefiting us today,” said reader Jim Lauth. “Let’s at least get something for our hard earned tax dollars and avoid handouts that will just create entitlement programs that will plague us for years.”
