Denver Post: Colorado Governor Paves Way for Stimulus Cash
From Denver Post:
Gov. Bill Ritter and other officials Tuesday launched the state's first highway project using federal stimulus money, which will resurface a half-mile of West Belleview Avenue between South Zuni Street and South Federal Boulevard. Colorado is getting about $400 million for roads and another $103 million for transit under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. "We're moving fast to put recovery dollars to work," Ritter said before unveiling a sign at the Belleview project that touted the act and prominently featured his name.
