New York Times: Donaldson’s Stimulus Prescriptions

From New York Times:

William Donaldson — the former Securities and ExchangeCommission chairman (under President George W. Bush) who last week joinedPresident Obama’s board of economic advisers — recently laid out his prioritiesfor stimulus and financial rescue. Among his arguments:  We need to start sending our infrastructuredollars to advanced, efficient mass transportation and projects such as bullettrains. Our country has fallen behind Japanand Europe in this arena, and we need to catchup to be competitive. Other infrastructure spending must be subjected toequally rigorous criteria.
