Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) threw her weight Thursday behind a massive transportation bill but threw cold water on the potential for another stimulus package any time soon. “I am a proponent for bringing up a full transportation bill, which is a great jobs bill, [and] at some point we may need to do an extension of unemployment benefits,” Pelosi said. But she said she didn’t yet see the need for a massive new stimulus package. “We have to be very careful about spending on this,” she said.
