The conservative rhetoric machine these days sounds a lot like a short-circuiting robot spitting out buzzwords that fail to signify anything but their own flat-footedness. And so it is with a recent George Will column slamming Obama's Transportation Secretary, Roy LaHood for his moderate embrace of mass transit. But I think there is at least a part of Will's argument we should try to take seriously. But first let's have some fun.
