As we’ve all heard, states have been preparing for the potential influx of federal economic stimulus funding, and Vermont is no exception. According to the latest projections, Vermont could receive up to $700 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help create jobs, improve our infrastructure, and ease the increasingly heavy financial burden of many residents. As the well attended “economic recovery” conferences recently held by Senator Leahy and Governor Douglas prove, we’re all interested in finding out what this package means for us.
