Infrastructure Week 2018
America takes its infrastructure for granted. But the transportation, water, energy and communications systems that made our country a powerhouse are all overdue for an upgrade. This growing crisis has been an issue for years, and commuters, workers and businesses suffer as those upgrades continue to be delayed.

Washington was buzzing last week as reports surfaced that White House National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn floated a modest gas tax increase proposal while meeting with the bipartisan Congressional Problem Solvers Caucus. Building America’s Future applauds Gary Cohn’s remarks, as we have advocated for modernizing the federal gas tax for several years.
Ten Years Later

It’s hard to believe that ten years have passed since the horrific collapse of the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis, killing 13 and injuring 145 people on August 1, 2007. In addition to the terrible loss of life and the injuries sustained, a major commuting route for over 140,00 daily vehicles was lost for nearly fourteen months.
