Alan D. Clemmons represented the 107th District from 2001 to 2020 where he served as Chairman of the Rules Committee and as a member of the Ways & Means Committee. Clemmons has been an officer of the Horry County Republican Party since 1995, where he was the Chairman from 1997-2000, and was elected from the First Congressional District as an alternate delegate to the 2004 Republican National Convention and as a delegate to the 2000 convention.
Clemmons has served as the Chairman of the South Carolina Interstate 73 Association and Rep. Clemmons has served as Vice President of Administrations of the Pee Dee Area Council, as a Member of the Horry County Planning Commission, and as a liaison member of the Myrtle Beach Planning Commission. In addition to his political experience, Clemmons has been engaged in the practice of law with an emphasis on real estate and development with the firm of McCrackin, Barnett, Richardson and Clemmons, L.L.P since 1990
In addition to his legal practice, Rep. Clemmons and as a Director of Tidelands Bancshares Inc. since 2002, where he also serves as a Director of Tidelands Bank, a subsidiary of Tidelands Bancshares Inc. Rep. Clemmons is a graduate from Coastal Carolina University's School of Business Administration, and holds a Juris doctorate from Hamline University.
