Born Joseph Anthony Adame to Gumercinda and Cayatanio Adame on October 20, 1945, in Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe grew up in a modest home learning the significance of family. The son of a pharmacist, Joe, as he is known to everyone, spent many of his days in his father’s store located in Robstown, Texas learning the business. He learned the quality of good customer service, the importance of strong leadership and the value of making the right decision.
After graduating from Corpus Christi Academy in 1963, Joe attended Del Mar College in 1964. He later transferred to Sam Houston State where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1969.
In 1971, Joe married Kathy Scogin, and have celebrated their union over the past 37 years with three sons, Chris, Mark and Jarrett, three beautiful daughters-in-law, Cheryl, Lynsey and Courtney, and five rambunctious grandchildren, Evan, Madison, Avery, Chloe, and Emmy. Pa Joe, as he is called by his grandchildren, takes pride in his family and passes on the life lessons he learned as a young child growing up in the Coastal Bend.
In 1970, Joe became a licensed Texas real estate broker. He has built a family business over the past 30 years which maintains the same ethics his father taught him, good customer service, strong leadership and the value of making the right decision. With nine agents, two appraisers, and a strong office management staff, Joe Adame & Associates takes pride in being one of the best commercial and industrial real estate brokerage firms in the Coastal Bend.
Joe has served on the Texas Real Estate Advisory Board at Texas A&M University – College Station, (which is a Governor appointed position) as past member and chairman from 1997 – 2006. He is also a Leadership Corpus Christi Class Alumni (Class 6).
