Washington, D.C. – February 2, 2021 – today the U.S. Senate voted 86 to 13 to confirm Pete Buttigieg as the 19th Secretary of Transportation. In response, Building America’s Future Co-Chairs, former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood issued the following statements.

I have full confidence in Secretary Buttigieg’s knowledge and skills that he demonstrated as a mayor to lead President Biden’s vision to build back better.
