Washington, D.C. – Building America’s Future (BAF) is pleased to announce that Maine State Representative Andrew McLean, Chairman of Joint Standing Committee on Transportation, has joined BAF as a member. Building America’s Future, a bipartisan coalition of current and former elected officials, is co-chaired by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I), former Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood (R), and former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell (D).
Rep. McLean has served on Maine’s Joint Standing Committee on Transportation during his first term in the House. With his strong leadership on funding, he was appointed chair of the committee during his second term. Rep. McLean has been leading a bipartisan coalition of legislators and groups dedicated to finding more revenue for our infrastructure. Maine is currently in the middle of its legislative session and they are working on several different measures to generate more investments in their infrastructure.
“I am excited to join BAF. Like BAF, I know that investments in our infrastructure are not only important, but also critical for the future of our economy and our country. I look forward to partnering with BAF to move these issues forward.”
“We are thrilled that Chairman Andrew McLean has joined BAF,” said Building America’s Future President Marcia Hale. “Chairman McLean has steadfastly championed innovation and the importance of repairing and rebuilding roads, bridges, and the transportation sector in Maine. We are excited for him to bring his ideas and experience to BAF. Chairman McLean will be a great partner as we urge state and federal leaders to be more innovative and competitive through smart infrastructure investments.”
